Wilkes County, one of the largest counties in North Carolina, is nestled in the northern area of the
Yadkin Valley, on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The county's two largest towns
are separated by the Yadkin River - North Wilkesboro and Wilkesboro and has one other small incorporated town,
Ronda. The county as a whole has a land area of 752.21 square miles.
